Vail Travel Diary Pt. 1
I spent the weekend in Vail and I'm already planning my next trip back! We arrived there late Friday night and from the moment I arrived in Vail Village, I felt like I was living in a snowglobe! It's a small ski village compared to Aspen, but it's so adorable. The streets were lined with string lights and garlands that made it feel so festive in spirit.
We stayed a cute little German boutique hotel called Hotel Gastof Gramshammer. It is right in the middle of Vail Village and we could just walk 5 minutes to the nearest ski lift. Plus, our room came with a private balcony that overlooked the Village as well as a beautiful view of the slopes. We were lucky to have amazing weather in that it didn't snow on Saturday when we were on the slopes, but flurries came down Sunday to bid us goodbye as we were leaving.
Before we arrived at Vail, I researched a few places to eat on the mountain. We first grabbed a quick snack at Waffle Way to hold us over until our Apres Ski reservation at The Tenth. It was the cutest ski-in ski-out waffle shack and they had everything from waffle snack bites (pictured above) to chicken and waffles. After we were done skiing, we headed over to the Tenth at Mid-Vail for a late lunch and Apres Ski drinks. It was the perfect ambiance as the view was so amazing and they even provided all the diners with fuzzy slippers to change into if you didn't want to walk around in your ski boots!
My favorite part of skiing in Vail was the incredible views of never ending snow capped trees. I can't wait to go back.
