3 New Makeup and Beauty Tools for the New Year
Maybe it's because I'm now in my late 20's, but I've suddenly become a beauty buff (mostly for skincare, though, because who wants wrinkles, am I right)? I've been trying a ton of different products to see what works and what doesn't work, so be sure to stay tuned for a lot more beauty posts!
I never used to wear foundation until this year! I used to only need to wear BB Cream, *sigh*. When I first started to use foundation, I was using a BeautyBlender. It definitely smoothed out the foundation (tip: wet your BeautyBlender a little before you use it), but I didn't like that it was porous and after a while, it just seemed like a dirty old sponge.
I love watching Peony Lim get ready on Instastories and she always raved about her Artis brushes! That's when I decided to give them a try and it is honestly 10 times better than using a BeautyBlender. It's extremely ergonomic, the brush head itself is very soft (and no animals were harmed), and the Oval 6 is perfect for the size of my face and small amount of foundation that I use (I know the Oval 8 and Oval 10 are the specified foundation brushes).
I recently switched over from a regular razor to the Magnitone Lady Shaver because I've struggled with ingrown hairs my whole life! I love that the Lady Shaver provides the same smooth results without the harshness of using a razor. You can also use this wet or dry! Sometimes when I forget to shave the night before I need to head out somewhere I can quickly use the Lady Shaver without having to step into the shower!
I've always wanted long lashes and I saw the amazing results that my sister has had with Latisse. However, it did come with some side effects, like darkening of her eyelids. A lot of times I don't even wear makeup, so naturally, I didn't want to have dark eyelids! I did a lot of research on other types of lash growth serums and finally landed upon this one by Hairgenics. It has rave reviews and it's all natural, so I decided to give it a try! I've been using it for a month now, though not consistently because I always forget to put it on before I go to bed, and I am already seeing the results! I'm definitely going to continue using it and give you guys an update!
Coupled with the Lavish Lash serum, I've been using the SkinO2 mascara with lash enhancer and the lash treatment oil! I use the lash treatment oil at night with the serum, and the mascara during the day to give that extra lengthening boost!
What are some of your new favorite beauty and skincare products you think I should try!?
