The Way to Dress for Success
Better to be overdressed than underdressed, am I right? Coming back to my go-to style and my lace-loving side today because I'm styling this lace one-shoulder top from Rebecca Taylor with a lace pencil skirt. I've had this lace pencil skirt (similar here) in my closet for ages, and it's because it always elevates any outfit, from the office to going out, it's so versatile. I also am so obsessed with the new cat eye sunglasses that I just got, I've got my eye on these extremely narrow ones too!
When I put this outfit together, I was wondering if it was too much. Too much lace, too fancy for whatever I was planning to wear it to, or maybe even too revealing. But when I looked at my reflection in the mirror, I definitely liked what I saw. I was confident in what I was wearing, and I was like "You know what!? Who cares what anyone thinks!" And that's when I realized that what you wear can really change how you feel and your perception on things.
And that goes vice-versa! If something is weighing you down or makes you feel uncomfortable when you wear it, even if it's cute on others or its trendy, it's not for you! The idea is to dress for success. To wear something that will make you feel like you're a million bucks so that you can be confident, realize your worth and go after your dreams!
