New (Under $10) Anti-Aging Products For My Nightly Skincare Routine

I don't necessarily keep up with the Kardashians, but when it comes to skincare, I definitely think they know what they're doing. You have to admit that they all have really amazing skin for their age! Now that I'm in my late 20's, I definitely feel the effects of a slowing metabolism, so I'm doing my best to eat healthy, sleep better and fight those signs of aging the best that I can. So when Kim Kardashian recommended this Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion (currently sold out on Sephora but still available on their website), and it's under $10, I immediately checked it out the brand, The Ordinary, on Sephora's website. Pretty much every product had amazing reviews and everything was practically sold out! So I added both the Retinoid and the Toner (the toner is still in stock!) to my cart (really because everything else was already sold out).
I have combination skin, but it definitely tends to be on the oilier side. I've been testing out what products work and don't work on my skin and I find that the more I hydrate my skin, the less oily my skin becomes by the end of the day. That's probably because my skin isn't overproducing oils to counter any dryness. The Retinoid Emulsion is said to help visually fight signs of aging as well has help with water retention.
With that being said, I do find that my skin has some uneven skintones and textural irregularities so that's why I decided to get the Toner as well. But for oily skin, I'm looking into trying the Salicylic Acid 2% for spot treatments on super oily areas with clogged pores!
